Mystery of Seventh Murder in 7 Khoon Maaf

Watched 7 khoon maaf last night. The movie is one time watch, certainly not from the same class of  Maqbools and Omkaras of Vishal Bharadwaj however, it is not as bad as rediff review suggests.

When one watches the movie one has to keep guessing who was the the 7th victim of Priyanka Chopra.
Even in the recap song only the six kills were shown.

A lot of people think it was the maid Usha Uthup who was the 7th victim, but I think the way she died was an accident and thus does not qualify as a 'khoon'.
I believe the 7th husband was the father of the church where Priyanka became a nun.
She was seen with this father in a bar in same attire she was shown on beach with Vivaan Shah towers the end of the movie, where she says 7th is already dead. The father proposed her for the marriage in the bar.

Even if this murder was not displayed in the movie I believe she killed the father.

She did not kill herself for sure, I watched movies twice in parts and Priyanka's avatar in the first scene where it seems she has committed suicide, and the when she kills Naseeruddin Shah  is same. Even the way blood is spread around is same.

I need to watch the movie again to confirm the above, but I think this should be the case.

There is one more version to this mystery, some believe the 7th husband is Jesus Christ. She surrenders to Christ and accepts him as husband. Christ, who is dead already, who was killed by humankind in a way and  who paid for all the sins of humans with his life, hence the name '7 khoon maaf'.

  11. @ addu, I saw movie again, in parts. For sure she does not kill herself. if you match the first seen where it seems he commits suicide and murder of Naseeruddin Shah, they are same. So suicide is out of question.

  12. The father proposed her for the marriage in the bar.Even if this murder was not displayed in the movie I believe she killed the father.

Dude they were talking about her being becoming a nun.. as becoming a nn is considered marrying Jesus and drinking the holy wine is considered jesus' bloOd.. remember her saying "This time I'm gonna drink hi bloOd"
and also according to the story "Susana's 7 husband" on which the movie is based.. her 7th husband was jesus only..

  13. the one who played father's role was none other than the original author of the book on which the movie is based-- > 'Ruskin Bond'
the 7th murder was to murder her materialistic desires which is the root cause of all suffering. She murdered it by devoting herself to GOD.

  14. satvan khoon was jesus it can be percieved in two ways jesus was killed bcoz of our sins hence she was also killer of jesus as she was sinful on the other hand she killed the idea of god and that was satvan khoon as she was commited in all her relationships but when she discoverd there selfishness she killed them as she married jesus she attained the understanding idea of god is not selfless but if u r selfless there is godliness in u hence she overcome that social crutches and became free and selfless in true sense by killing the idea of god

  16. Indeed, the 7th victim seems to be a puzzle.

At the bar the father/priest asks her whether she needs more time to think through her decision, but she confirms she has thought about it. And then agrees to be at church the next day at 11. This is the same date and time she requests Vivaan to come to the church. At the time both of them are talking on the beach, the priest could not have been already dead because he is present at the ceremony in church the next day, when she becomes a nun. So 7th victim is definitely not the father/priest.

The 7th husband is likely to be Jesus, who she says knows all about her and is already dead.

I am not sure who the 7th victim is in Ruskin Bond's book, but the way I see it is, for the 7th 'khoon' she could be referring to
    1) Usha Uthup, because if she didn't set the house on fire, she wouldn't have died or
    2) herself. Not by actually committing suicide but by giving up herself, or her desires i.e. sacrificing her life for Jesus.

  17. I think the 7th murder is infact the very first one.. The dog who used to bark at her on her way to school
